Understanding Website Costs

Below are the costs to consider when budgeting for your new website or redesign. Our flexible business model allows us to create effective websites with initial budgets from $3,000 to over $50,000. The exact cost is determined by following our project process.

Basic Ongoing Costs
  • Domain Registration: In order to set up a website, you’ll need to have a domain name (like www.frontierwebdev.com). Available domain names usually cost around $10 annually.
  • Web Hosting: You’ll need to store the files for your website on a server that also provides enough bandwidth for visitors to access them. Hosting costs are usually paid on a monthly or yearly basis and vary depending on the size of your website and bandwidth requirements. Our hosting packages allow you to host email on your domain. The cost for most projects start around $10/month.
  • Security Products: If your website needs to handle sensitive information, like taking credit card information, then you’ll want an SSL to secure that information and you may also need additional software, such as a payment gateway to process credit cards. These costs vary based on the needs of your website but the most basic security products cost around $100/year.
